Salute Our Military and First Responders Creighton U. vs. Nevada U. baseball game at TD Ameritrade Park. 2pm Saturday, May 9th.

Why the event?
- Most people want to say to all who serve or have served, ?Thank You! You are honored! You are remembered; not forgotten!? And to say to the Families of the Fallen, ?We are sorry for your loss.? Your loved one is honored and remembered; not forgotten. Think of it as a civics lesson for how to be a responsible citizen with cherished freedoms.
- The game and related activities gives people that opportunity in a large scale, easy, meaningful, no-cost way. Attendance the past 3 years has been just over 14,000. 24K strong would be a Guinness Book of records crowd.
Events details:
Pre-game:
- 11:30-1:20
- Family Fun Fest: bounce houses, face painting, inflated Patriotic Walk Around figures, etc.
- Concert: SMSGT (ret) Jimmy Weber* and Billy McGuigan**
McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, Kenny Rogers, and the Beach Boys.
* Billy is a national singer/entertainer who is the premiere Buddy Holly interpreter and electrifies
audience with Rocks Legends the Beatles, Elvis, Elton, the Eagles and many more.
- 1:20-1:35 Families of the Fallen Walk-Families who?ve lost a loved one in military or first responder duty
members and proud Americans
3. 1:35-1:55 Fly-over, sky divers parachute in U.S., POW-MIA and Honor and Remember flags, giant U.S. Flag
held by JROTC students, Strategic Air Command Elite Color Guard, Jimmy Weber singing patriotic songs and
the National Anthem
During the game:
1. Recognitions of those being saluted
2. Six Families of the Fallen who, at a private gathering and dinner*, received a personalized Honor and
Remember flag of their loved one, stand on a dugout while the crowd honors and applauds them
Post-Game:
Approx. 5:00 Echo Taps played and Taps sung while the names of the fallen scroll on the jumbo screen
Hand-held size U.S. flags will be distributed to the 1st 10,000 through the gate.
